Certified Waqf Governance Professional: study modules
Three short modules on how a waqf is set up, run by its Nazir, and overseen and reported on
Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0038
A waqf must keep its endowed asset safe for the long term while its yield reaches the people and causes it was made for. Good governance is what keeps that balance. These three short modules explain, in plain language, the Waqif, the waqf deed and the beneficiaries; the forms and duties of the Nazir, the waqf's risk and investment policies and the protection of its assets; and the audit committee, Shari'ah supervision, internal and external audit and annual reporting of a waqf, following AAOIFI Governance Standard No. 13.
Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a short practice quiz. The modules prepare you for the Certified Waqf Governance Professional exam.
This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
