2 courses
This certification is for people who govern, manage or review waqf: Nazirs and members of boards of Nazirs, waqf managers and finance staff, members of waqf audit committees and Shari'ah boards, internal and external auditors, advisers to founders, and staff of awqaf authorities.
It covers AAOIFI Governance Standard 13 on waqf governance, read with its guidance note: the scope of the standard, the rights of the Waqif and the waqf deed, beneficiaries, the forms and duties of the Nazir, risk and investment policies, the safeguarding of waqf assets, the audit committee, the Shari'ah supervisory board, internal and external audit, and transparency and reporting under FAS 37. The Shari'ah rules of waqf in Shari'ah Standard 60 are used as context. To earn it, you study the linked courses and then sit a certification exam of 40 questions in 75 minutes, drawn from a larger bank. The pass mark is 70%, you have one attempt per enrollment, and the certificate is valid for three years.
This is an independent ifSPACE certification. It is free, it is not an AAOIFI qualification, and it is not accredited or endorsed by AAOIFI or any regulator.
