Certified Salam and Istisna'a Specialist: study modules

Three short modules on salam, parallel salam, istisna'a and concessions

Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0029

Salam and istisna'a let a buyer pay for goods that will be delivered or built later. These three short modules explain them in plain language: the conditions of the salam price and goods, what happens at delivery and how parallel salam works, and how istisna'a, parallel istisna'a and concession contracts such as build-operate-transfer are used to finance manufacturing and construction.

Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a practice quiz. Together they prepare you for the Certified Salam and Istisna'a Specialist exam.

This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
