Certified Salam and Istisna'a Specialist

It is for agricultural, trade and project finance officers, real estate and infrastructure teams, and Shari'ah reviewers who work with forward sales and construction finance. It covers salam and parallel salam under AAOIFI Shari'ah Standard No. 10, istisna'a and parallel istisna'a under SS 11, and concession contracts such as build-operate-transfer under SS 22. It also draws on the rules for salam in organised commodity markets (SS 20) and for selling goods online through recognised structures (SS 38).

How it works: study the linked course Trade-Based Islamic Financing, then sit a 40-question certification exam in 75 minutes. The pass mark is 70%, and the certificate is valid for three years.

This is an independent ifSPACE certification. It is free, it is not an AAOIFI qualification, and it is not accredited or endorsed by AAOIFI or any regulator.
