Certified Islamic Finance Ethics Professional: study modules

Three short modules on the AAOIFI Code of Ethics and building an ethical institution

Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0021

In Islamic finance, correct contracts are not enough: people must also act with justice, honesty and care. These three short modules explain, in plain language, the AAOIFI Code of Ethics for Islamic Finance Professionals with its Adl and Ihsaan foundation and six virtues, how to apply its protocols to mistakes, decisions, gifts and reporting violations, and how an institution builds an ethics framework with committees, training and a hotline under Governance Standard No. 16.

Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a short practice quiz. The modules prepare you for the Certified Islamic Finance Ethics Professional exam.

This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
