Certified Islamic Finance Ethics Professional

It is for ethics officers, compliance and HR professionals, board and SSB secretaries, auditors and anyone who leads conduct and culture in an Islamic financial or social finance institution. It covers the AAOIFI Code of Ethics for Islamic Finance Professionals: its scope, the Adl and Ihsaan paradigm and equation, the six virtues, the four protocols for self-accountability, liability, decision-making and escalation, and its illustrative violations, check posts and gift rules. It also covers AAOIFI Governance Standard No. 16 on the institutional framework for implementing ethics, with its six principles, seven components and the board and management ethics committees, and the ethics elements of the auditing and rating standards.

How it works: study the linked courses Auditing Standards and Professional Ethics for Islamic Finance and Shari'ah Compliance, Internal Shari'ah Audit and Ratings, then sit a 40-question certification exam in 75 minutes. The pass mark is 70%, and the certificate is valid for three years.

This is an independent ifSPACE certification. It is free, it is not an AAOIFI qualification, and it is not accredited or endorsed by AAOIFI or any regulator.
