Certified Ijarah Specialist: study modules

Three short modules on Islamic leasing, from the basics to lease ending in ownership

Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0013

Ijarah is the Islamic lease: the institution owns an asset and sells its use for a known rent. These three short modules explain, in plain language, what can be leased and how rent is set, how maintenance, takaful and loss are shared between lessor and lessee, and how lease ending in ownership, sale and leaseback and forward leases work.

Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a short practice quiz. The modules prepare you for the Certified Ijarah Specialist exam.

This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
