Build, issue and invest in sukuk in a capital-markets challenge. This free gamified course turns the basics of AAOIFI standards into five interactive missions. In each one you flip learning cards, make decisions in short scenarios, race through true-or-false rounds, match terms, put steps in order, sort what is allowed from what is not, and finish with a final challenge where you have three lives. You earn XP, keep streaks, collect stars and unlock a badge for every mission.

After each mission a short recap sums up what you unlocked, with the references. When all five badges are yours, take the final exam: 30 questions in 60 minutes, 70% to pass.

What you will learn

  • Explain what a sukuk represents, how it differs from an interest-bearing bond, and who the parties to an issue are.
  • Describe how an ijarah sukuk works, and separate the owners' duties and risks from those of the lessee.
  • Apply the profit-and-loss rules of musharakah, mudarabah and wakalah sukuk, and tell lawful ways to steady returns from forbidden guarantees.
  • Decide whether a sukuk may be traded at any agreed price, only at face value, or not yet, based on what it represents.
  • Identify the governance bodies of a sukuk issue under GS 12 and the approvals and reports that protect its holders.
