Share profit and loss the Shari'ah way in a partnership adventure. This free gamified course turns the basics of AAOIFI standards into five interactive missions. In each one you flip learning cards, make decisions in short scenarios, race through true-or-false rounds, match terms, put steps in order, sort what is allowed from what is not, and finish with a final challenge where you have three lives. You earn XP, keep streaks, collect stars and unlock a badge for every mission.

What you will learn

  • Explain what a Shari'ah partnership is, name its main kinds and share profit and loss by the rules of AAOIFI Shari'ah Standard No. 12.
  • Apply the rules of musharakah financing to capital contributions, profit paid on account, exit promises and company shares.
  • Describe the steps of a diminishing musharakah for a home and calculate the rent and the share of costs at each stage.
  • Distinguish the roles of capital provider and mudarib, and decide who bears a loss under AAOIFI Shari'ah Standard No. 13.
  • Trace how profit in a mudarabah-based investment account is shared, and tell permitted from forbidden ways of protecting capital under SS 40 and SS 45.
