Governance of Sukuk, Waqf, Crowdfunding and Syndicated Financing
GS 12 sukuk governance, GS 13 waqf governance, GS 14 Islamic crowdfunding governance and GS 15 syndicated financing
Advanced · 7 hours · 14 lessons · Language: English and Arabic
Some Islamic finance arrangements sit outside the ordinary governance of a single institution: a sukuk issue with its own trustee and Shari'ah board, a waqf run by a Nazir for its beneficiaries, a crowdfunding campaign that connects many fund providers to one issuer through a platform, and a syndicate of financiers sharing one large facility. This course explains the AAOIFI governance standards written for each of them: sukuk governance across the whole lifecycle (GS 12), waqf governance (GS 13, read with its guidance note), Islamic crowdfunding governance (GS 14) and the governance of syndicated financing, including hybrid arrangements with conventional banks (GS 15).
The course covers part of Part A of the AAOIFI CPAAGE syllabus. Each module has a reading, slides, study notes and a practice quiz. The course ends with a final exam.
This course is independent educational material written by ifSPACE in its own words. It does not reproduce AAOIFI texts and is not affiliated with AAOIFI.
