Certified Islamic Treasury and Liquidity Specialist: study modules
Three short modules on how an Islamic treasury raises, places and manages money
Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0026
An Islamic bank's treasury must keep enough cash to meet its obligations and put any surplus to work, without interest. These three short modules explain, in plain language, the sources and uses of liquidity allowed by the Shari'ah standards, how commodity murabahah and tawarruq work and the controls that keep them sound, and the rules for currency exchange, gold, commercial papers, credit lines, syndications and sukuk.
Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a short practice quiz. The modules prepare you for the Certified Islamic Treasury and Liquidity Specialist exam.
This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
