Certified Islamic Trade Finance Specialist: study modules
Three short modules on import and export finance, guarantees, documents and receivables
Introductory · 3 hours · 9 lessons · Language: English and Arabic · ID: IFS-COU-0025
Trade finance is where Islamic banks meet importers, exporters and contractors every day. These three short modules explain, in plain language, how documentary credits and import murabahah work; how salam, parallel salam and istisna'a finance producers and exporters; and what a bank may charge for letters of guarantee, how goods and documents of title serve as security, and why receivables may not be discounted.
Each module has a reading with a worked example, slides, study notes and a short practice quiz. The modules prepare you for the Certified Islamic Trade Finance Specialist exam.
This is independent ifSPACE material written in its own words; it is not affiliated with AAOIFI and is not a fatwa.
