ifSPACE Professional in Shari'ah Governance and Audit

It is for experienced Shari'ah governance, compliance and audit professionals, SSB secretaries, board members, regulators and external auditors who want a broad, professional-level credential. It covers the full Shari'ah governance framework of AAOIFI Governance Standard No. 1 (2024) and the SSB standards (GS 19, 20, 18 and 21), the central Shari'ah board (GS 8) and Islamic subsidiaries of conventional groups (GS 22); the Shari'ah compliance function (GS 9), internal Shari'ah audit (GS 11), Shari'ah compliance and fiduciary ratings (GS 10 and GS 17) and the institutional framework for ethics (GS 16); and the auditing standards for Islamic financial institutions (ASIFI 1 to 6) with the AAOIFI Code of Ethics for Islamic Finance Professionals.

How it works: study the linked courses The Shari'ah Governance Framework and the Shari'ah Supervisory Board, Shari'ah Compliance, Internal Shari'ah Audit and Ratings and Auditing Standards and Professional Ethics for Islamic Finance, then sit a 40-question certification exam in 75 minutes. The pass mark is 70%, and the certificate is valid for three years. The exam draws on all three courses.
