CPSS exam preparation

The Certificate of Proficiency in Shari'ah Standards (CPSS) is an advanced-level certificate from AAOIFI, based on the Shari'ah standards that AAOIFI issues. It focuses on understanding, interpreting and applying those standards in Islamic financial institutions and Islamic finance transactions. AAOIFI's syllabus groups the examinable standards into five parts: Shari'ah fundamentals, Islamic finance contracts and related topics, Islamic banking, Islamic financial markets, and Islamic insurance (takaful).

This program brings together six ifSPACE courses that cover those standards: Shari'ah foundations of Islamic transactions; trade-based Islamic financing; ijarah, agency and service contracts; partnerships and profit sharing; options, promises, guarantees and debts; and Islamic banking, capital markets, takaful and social finance. Each course has readings, slides, study notes, practice quizzes and a final exam. The program adds two full mock exams of 50 questions each, written by ifSPACE, to help you check your readiness.

This program is independent preparation material written by ifSPACE. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by AAOIFI. The mock exams are not official AAOIFI exams and do not contain AAOIFI questions. Candidates register for and sit the CPSS exam directly with AAOIFI.
